Membership Matters!
Membership is the crucial to the life of a local church body. One of our core commitments as a church is to be a Covenantal Community. This means that we are a family of faith fully committed to one another. We express that commitment through mutual submission to a church covenant as we live this Christian Life together. We believe that the Bible calls every believer to membership in a local for our encouragement, our protection, and our instruction. We seek to carry out this vision through our three-step process to become a member of HighView Church.

2. Membership Interview
In a 1 hour meeting, the member candidate meets with an elder of HighView Church to provide basic information and share God’s converting work in his or her life. The prospective member would then sign the church covenant, and the application would go to the elders. At a regularly scheduled elders’ meeting, the elder will review the applicant’s testimony with the other elders. Upon receiving their collective approval, the candidate’s application proceeds to the next step: congregational affirmation.
3. Congregational Affirmation
During our quarterly members meetings, a pastor will briefly introduce the member candidates. Questions are fielded, a vote is taken, and with a majority secured, candidates are admitted into membership.
